Louisiana

"Should We Abandon Louisiana? In some ways, we already have." by Zack Kopplin is an article that talks about how Louisiana is ignored by the rest of the country. The recent flooding in Louisiana was the worst natural disaster since hurricane sandy. But if you looked at the news there was nothing about the flooding. Apparently the rest of the country had more important things to know about than the 40,000 families that have been displaced from there home. Or about the people stranded in there houses hoping that maybe someone will come and save them by boat.
After hurricane Katrina outsiders said to just bulldoze the city because eventually the state will be underwater anyway. The people in Louisiana didn't need to here this. All they wanted was some help. The people of Louisiana didn't just leave the city to rot though. They rebuilt the city back up despite all the people saying they shouldn't. Once again outsiders are saying its just better off if we just leave, but they should know we won't. We will rebuild and stand together as a community. Just because Louisiana taken another hit dose not mean we are going to fall down and run away. Because we are Louisiana we will get back up at fight back and rebuild our home.
